We had a really good time in Mexico. Jack loved the swimming pool, so we spent most of our time there. It seemed like every time there was a photo op, I was wearing my bikini and straight out of the pool...sigh...please ignore that part. They had lots of people wandering around for photo ops, and of course we took our own pictures too. Jack liked the different animals he got to hold as part of this too...
We did take a few breaks from the pool for other activities. Jack tried Mini-Golf for the first time. Of course, he cheats. He' fond of picking up the ball and throwing it down the course. Daddy probably would have liked to actually play a bit more, but his ball kept getting taken and tossed.
Jack also loved dancing on the stage they had set up in the plaza. We danced several different times with the Kid's Club.
His favorite place to swim was a 1ft deep pool where he could jump all over mom and dad.
At one point, Jack decided we should join in with the water aerobics. Here we are kicking along with the instructor...
And then he decided he needed to get up on the walkway and do it next to the instructor, which I'm sure she appreciated!
This weird animal is called a serenque...It's an odd mix of rat, hamster, and maybe porcupine, but they were everywhere, along with the ubiquitous iguanas. We also saw an animal called a coati, but we didn't get a picture of that.
We took a couple family pictures there too...Mike will edit and then we'll print and send out.
We did go to beach too, of course, but Jack didn't like it as much, so we didn't spend as much time there as usual. Jack did enjoy playing in the sand and pouring it all over my chair.
More dancing...
And, even in Mexico, we had to visit the playground so Jack could try out the slides.
This towel art was particularly creative...
Jack decided to try on mommy's hat one day an played with it for a good half an hour.
Overall, Jack did really well. He had a little tummy trouble, but slept well and played well until the last day or two when he was obviously tired and ready to go home. He loved the bus rides and he was so excited by the airplanes in both directions that he didn't nap either coming or going. Anyway, it was a fun trip.
(I tried to rotate all the photos, but then when I uploaded them they all reverted to the wrong direction. I'll try to fix it later if I can, but right now there's laundry and cleanup calling my name!)
What an awesome vacation! Glad you had the chance to share Cancun with Jackson ... and the rest of us!
